Organization and Mix Tech Process
I was given multiple pro tools sessions from 5 different sound editors for this project. In order to conform all the sound effects to a template, I brought each session into the main project file, and dragged tracks of the same type into folders that shared similar content.
For this specific session, I divided the sound into dialogue, music, foley, bullet whooshes, gun sounds, explosions, and vehicles.
To streamline the mixing process, I removed the folders, and colored each division. I then added groups and VCA's on each division.
In order to stay organized and have a fast, productive mixing session each time, I created layouts on the avid s6 mixing console. I divided the layouts into effects groups, aux chains, and VCA controls.
Sound of Speed Redesign/ Effects Recording
For this Re-design, I focused on recording effects in a studio. I created an organized audio library with metadata using sound Q, and used those files in this video to give an authentic sound.
